Expotrade Australia is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Western Australian Major Projects Conference taking place on the 26 - 27 March 2014 at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.
This Conference continues to be the largest major projects and infrastructure conference
in the state, attracting over 350 delegates annually. This year’s event will feature the latest updates
on infrastructure, housing and development happening in Western Australia. With more than $280 billion worth of projects in the pipeline for Western Australia, investment in infrastructure is crucial for the state’s growth and development. Following very strong economic growth for a number of years, the WA economy is heading for a period of consolidation, as resource sector investment reaches its peak and moves into the production phase of the resources cycle. Nevertheless, WA continues to boast a strong investment pipeline, with overall conditions remaining very strong. The latest statistics indicate the state’s population grows by roughly 1,600 people per week, by 2026 more than three million people will live in Western Australia, close to half a million more than previously predicted. With such natural and migrant population increases reshaping Western Australia, the need to build more housing, health, energy, water and transport services is becoming increasingly evident.
Participants at the Western Australian Major Projects Conference will hear from a diverse field of high profile speakers from both the Public and Private sectors who will deliver informative and exciting presentations discussing the planning and delivery of critical infrastructure in Western Australia. This two day Conference creates a platform where senior executives from government, construction and mining will gather to network, learn and participate in discussions about the current and future projects happening in Western Australia.
