The digitized world harbours both threats and opportunities for businesses; a threat because the volumes of information organisations must now handle is unintelligible for a human being, and an opportunity because those that are capable of mastering this information can gain a lead over competitors. The digital transformation of companies requires decisive action to manage this massive amount of information. If done correctly, it can create a global vision of the company’s commercial environment and allow them to anticipate new technologies and social trends. To meet these new challenges, Air Liquide has developed a partnership with Proxem, a pioneer in artificial intelligence for semantic analysis, capable of processing the information produced every day, which is 80% text-based and multi-lingual. We will illustrate concretely this partnership with a live demonstration showing how to use public information on the internet to map out a market and get a global view of its players, and where innovation comes from.
