Aligning Safety and Quality with Flow conference will look at how hospitals can maximise patient access in a quality care setting whilst also strengthening safety imperatives.
Understanding how to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards while increasing the efficiency of the patient journey needs to be evaluated by Australian hospitals. This conference will look at how hospitals can maximise patient access in a quality care setting whilst also strengthening safety imperatives.
Aligning Safety and Quality with Flow will focus on how to balance efficiency of patient throughput and adherence to safety and quality standards.
From January 2013 the NSQHS Standards have provided hospitals with ten new standards by which they will be assessed against and accredited. Additionally the National Emergency Access Target has heightened pressure to increase efficiency, as all ED patients need to be processed as either to an inpatient bed or back into the community in 4 hours.
