Now, For 2014, We’Re Stepping It Up.
Held in London in July 2013, the inaugural App Promotion Summit took place. Created to address the app industry’s greatest challenge – distribution and discovery – simply put the conference delivered.
Over 160 delegates attended to learn from, and network with, some of the world’s leading mobile app marketing experts. We were blown away by the feedback that we received from attendees:
• 100% Of The Attendees Said It Met Their Expectations And Rated It As Good (9%), Very Good (61%) Or Excellent (30%)
• Over ¾ Of Our Attendees Rated The Conference As Better (62%) Or Much Better (14%) Than Another Other Event That They Had Attended.
Then we decided to take APS on the road. App Promotion Summit Berlin 2013 was held at the prestigious Hotel Adlon Kempinski on November 28. It attracted over 200 key industry representatives, including experts from Amazon, Deloitte, Deutsche Telekom, DHL, Faber-Castell, Grand Cru, iLiga/THE Football App, Lovoo, Microsoft, mytaxi, PlayHaven, Rocket Fuel, Rocket Internet, SoundCloud, Viacom and Yandex.
SO WHAT ABOUT APS LONDON 2014?
As the organisers we appreciate that after our 2013 successes we need to maintain momentum and step up to the mark again. We want to establish APS London as the best event of its type. We understand that the strength of a conference is the agenda, the speaker faculty and the environment that we can create for you to benefit from. As a result:
• We’Re Back At The Stunning Jumeirah Carlton Tower In Knightsbridge.
• We’Ve Revamped The Agenda To Make Sure That We’Re Going To Hit All The Pressure Point Possible Over The Course Of One Day And Mix Up The Format As Well.
• The 2014 Speaker Faculty Is Very Much Being Put Together On A “Survival Of The Fittest” Basis And Is Looking Phenomenal.
• The Aps London 2014 Marketplace Is Going To Add A Whole New Dimension To The Networking Opportunities Available, Allowing Face-To-Face Meetings Between Attendees
Once again the event is going to bring developers, media companies, app studios and brands together with the mobile ad networks, cross promotion exchanges, software providers and agencies that can help them succeed in mobile app marketing. If you want an insight into who you’re going to be meeting then why not take a look at the 2013 attendees?
FINALLY, WILL THERE AGAIN BE A PIMMS SESSION TO CLOSE THE DAY?

A SELECTION OF THE TESTIMONIALS THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM YOUR PEERS
At each event we bribe our attendees to give us amazing testimonials, so why not take your peers words for it?
(we didn’t really bribe them, they actually loved the events so much they gave them to us)
THE APS LONDON 2014 MARKETPLACE
One thing that became apparent at the inaugural APS London and APS Berlin events was that in addition to the interactive format used in the conference room and the 5 different scheduled networking sessions included in the agenda, people want to have an area to sit down and have informal meetings with their fellow attendees.
As a result, the 2014 London conference will be the first event to feature the App Promotion Summit Marketplace. Throughout the conference a portion of the venue will be sectioned off and made available for attendees to use for private sit-down meetings.
• Developers and publishers – you can arrange to meet people that can help with your app marketing
• Networks, platforms and agencies – set up meetings to allow you to communicate with customers, suppliers and partners
In addition, if there is space in the Marketplace on the day of the event then you’ll be free to organise ad-hoc meetings. So whether you want to get things pre-booked or just utilise it on the day, the APS Marketplace will be a great opportunity for you to catch up and do some business.

You offer the rest of the delegation an opportunity to meet young companies, ambitious individuals and establish relationships with them. That represents a great opportunity for everyone.

We would be happy to share the APS London 2013 attendee list so you can get an idea of who to expect in the 2014 delegation. We’Re Going To Use A Glamorously Titled “Interactive Roundtable Seating Format” At The Event And Adapt The Agenda Around It. Here’S A What And Why Explanation:
WHAT IS IT?
Instead of ramming in as many seats as possible into the conference room, which is tempting as it’s more economical for us as the organisers, we’re going to lay the conference room out like a wedding reception (as opposed to a wedding ceremony). Throughout the day we’ll have scheduled “roundtable discussions” which will give you a chance to actually interact with your peers. Fancy that – you’re actually going to meet new people and not just talk to people you already know.
WHY DO WE DO IT LIKE THIS?
Admitted we’re all students at the University of Life, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit in a room and be lectured to all day. Instead, we want the presentations to fuel discussions and networking. Therefore, having a seating format and tailored agenda means that you can interact with your peers. Learning from presentations is a key element of any conference, but developing business relationships is vitally important in terms of delivering you a return on your time and money investment.
WHAT’S IT (NOT) LIKE?
You’re not sat with one person either side of you, struggling to stay awake after lunch. You’re going to be sat with up to 11 key industry stakeholders, all with different areas of expertise and experience. Following informative and thought-provoking presentations, you’ll be requested to interact directly with your peers to discuss the proceedings and form discussions points.
WHAT’S THE RESULT?
We use this format at all of our events and the response has been phenomenal – attendees love it. It offers you the chance to develop your personal network and not feel awkward doing it. You’re actively encouraged to meet people.
This format will multiply the quality of your event experience – simply put it will deliver better value for you.
