The 14th Annual Australian Gas Turbines Conference will be held on the 30th - 31st of October 2013 at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane. The Annual Australian Gas Turbines Conference is designed as a platform to discuss the latest technologies and expected developments for the industry; the event aims to bring together industry leaders to examine key topics. Last year's event was attended by 90 representatives from across the gas turbines and energy sector. Delegates converged in Melbourne for a jam packed two day program. Highlights from 2012 included:
Day 1 - A detailed case study from Mladenko Tunjic and Wim Belgraver of Stanwell Corporation on the '3rd major overhaul of the GT26 at Swanbank Power Station' and Peter Holley from Delta Electricity delivering a frank and candid case study on experience dealing with 'foreign object damage at Colongra Power Station'.
Day 2 - A diverse range of topics were covered, kicking off with a presentation from Christopher Martin from New Zealand Gas Turbines speaking on 'Engine maintenance of the LM2500, LM5000 and LM6000'. Paul Van Dyk TMC Consultant from Invensys delivered important information on 'Turbine functional safety management' and Daniel Loero from GE Power and Water shared his insights on 'Aeroderivative gas turbines for LNG and mining applications'. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with peers, meet new contacts and discuss the day's program during the networking breaks in the conference exhibition area.
