For those of you who are new to BarCamp, BarCamp is basically a very open, participant-driven conference where people share knowledge and ideas and expand their social and business network. It originated in USA, now it is held worldwide, from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, from Singapore to London.
It is an non-commercial conference organised by volunteers, and is opened to public for free. There is no restriction on topics, speakers can talk about anything from science, technology to art and music. Similar to TED talks, but in a more casual manner.
There is no call-for-paper from speakers. Participants arrive in the morning, find an available time slot, then reserve a room for giving talk. As multiple talks are scheduled simultaneously throughout the day, attendees are free to walk from room to room, to attend talks of her interest.
This is a great event for people to share knowledge and ideas.
