As a practitioner-academic, Dr. O'Laocha bridges the gap between those who research project management and those who work as program and project managers professionally. Project management has changed dramatically over the last ten years, however little transfer of new developments seems to take place across the academic / professional boundary. This is unfortunate, as there is much that professionals experience and know how that would greatly inform academics, and much that academics have discovered that would be of use to project management practitioners. This first session of Project Management Master Classes addresses this gap between research and practice. Some recent innovations in program and project management that are of interest and use to practicing professionals will be presented and discussed as we boldly go 'Beyond the PMP'!
