SQL in the City has been running since 2011 and will be held in London and Seattle this October. With 375 attendees in London, and around 300 in Seattle last year, this year’s attendees can expect to meet an ample amount of database administrators, developers and other professionals who work closely with SQL Servers. This year’s event boasts some of the worlds top SQL Server MVP speakers who will be sharing their knowledge, and best practices.
As far as SQL in the City goes, one thing is for sure, attendees will not have a chance to walk around aimlessly. People who attend this event will have the option to choose from 21 sessions and hands-on labs covering best practices for SQL Server development, administration and Database Lifecycle Management (DLM)
As mentioned before, the world’s top SQL Server experts will be sharing their knowledge, some of these pros include; Steve Jones (@way0utwest), Grant Fritchey (@GFritchey), Uwe Ricken (@dbBerater) and Brian Randell (@brianrandell). They will be covering some of the most important aspects of working databases such as; database version control, extending Application Lifecycle Management to the database, and making database changes using a migrations-only approach.
Going to sessions is one thing, but what is a conference without the perks of networking with like-minded professionals. Attendees will have ample time to meet with their peers, speakers and the Redgate employees responsible for creating the tool. To make this process even easier, Redgate will end the day with a diverse selection of drinks, two of them being a Redgate themed IPAs.
