Ever wondered if there was a better way to add speakers to your website? Well there is! We’ve just launched a major upgrade to the way you add and present speakers on your event website.

Currently we have over 60,000 speaker profiles on Conferize. This means that you don’t have to start from scratch when adding a speaker. You can easily pull the name, photo and bio, simply by starting to type the name of the speaker and selecting who to add from the list of suggestions. You can now also edit or add to any of the information and even change their photo.
A final step when adding a speaker is to input their email and invite them to join your event website and community. If the speaker already has a Conferize profile, you don’t need to add their email. You can customize the invitation if you want them to do something special (e.g. upload a teaser video to Conferize), this is a great way to engage your community.
Once you’ve added all your speakers, they can be dragged in the order that you want them to appear on the list and you can remove any unwanted speakers.
You can also add a speaker from scratch (e.g. if they don’t have a Conferize profile yet or if you don’t want to connect the speaker to his/her Conferize profile). We do however highly recommend that speakers make use of their speaker profile, as this will add a Follow button to build their network.
Finally, you may have noticed that we now present speaker and user profiles in an overlay, instead of going directly to their profile. This way users won’t lose their sense of context and they won’t leave your event website. Pretty neat, huh?
