In an environment of increased concern for the global implications of Caribbean maritime security, the CABSEC summit remains the ideal forum for those dedicated to disrupting and dismantling transnational criminal cartels, to gather together and discuss future plans. In its second year running the conference will bring together regional organisation, leading nations and maritime experts to discuss the effective provision of maritime security in the Caribbean Basin. One of the key areas of discussion will be counter-narcotic operations and the importance of regional cooperation in order to promote effective security that will disrupt and dismantle transnational organised criminal networks.
