In 2010 in order to celebrate the success of the first months of the Chamilo Project a group of users decided to organize an event with the intention to offer an open space where all the people interested in this project would hve the opportunity to exchange experiences and impressions about Chamilo. This first event was born under the name of Chamilo Users Day or “ChamilUDA”. In the first ChamilUDA more than 100 people attended the event where the seed of several projects and ideas that have been implemented in Chamilo along the past years were planted.
Since then, every year the Chamilo Association organizes an event that is opened to users, developers, and curious people with the goal of sharing the novelties in the field of e-learning with a special focus on Chamilo. Until now the ChamilUDAs have been organized in Peru (2010), Belgium (2011), on the Web at and worldwide online event (2012) as well as in several cities in Latin America at the beginning of 2013.
The Chamilo Project has an annual growth of 300%, so it is normal that the community demands an open space to express their ideas that could act as an incubator for new ideas.
For that reason, on October 17th and 18th the ChamilUDA 2013 will take place in Madrid. This event will embrace conferences, certification workshops, hands-on labs, conversation spaces and networking opportunities with all the people (developers, translators, designers) that is part of the Chamilo Community. If you are interested on learning and sharing knowledge from more than 200 professionals and Chamilo enthusiasts, you must attend this event!
The Chamilo Association renders thanks to the Carlos III University of Madrid for the support given to organize this event on its Campus at Leganes.
If you are interested on e-learning, regardless you know Chamilo, this event will give you some new perspectives and will let you meet a group of enthusiast and cooperative people ready to start new projects or aimed to help you to put your current projects on the way to success.
