Restructuring, SaaS, IaaS, Cloud, shared services, outsourcing, contract and vendor management, customer service excellence, cost sharing, IT metrics, merged services, de-merged services, portfolio management, student experience, user experience, de-regulation, competition, restructuring, restructuring, restructuring……….!

If this was a word cloud we would think it possibly interesting. In fact, as it’s the reality faced by many of us, isn't it time we challenged our own thinking around service models and how the roles and responsibilities are changing and evolving. The sector has seen everything from remarkable success stories to a merry-go-round of restructures and merged or de-merged services. It would, therefore, seem timely to share what we have learnt. What were the winners and losers for our customers and stakeholders and how should we be promoting ourselves and our services in the future?

Appropriately, you might say, this year’s Conference is in the city famous for its football and music, Manchester. 24-hour party people, football mad, ever evolving and regenerating Manchester would seem to be the place to be for discussing how IT as a service is evolving and how we might shout about what a difference we make to our organisations and businesses. Make it your goal to join us this year at CISG14, particularly if you are involved in (setting and contributing to) the strategic direction and future services for corporate information systems (and your colleagues tasked with delivering these services).
