How it Works
Head to Orlando
Let Connect Marketplace work for you. It's a hosted buyer reverse trade show designed to bring association and specialty group planners together with industry suppliers to do business. Planners, you pay a $200 registration fee that you'll get back at the end of the conference. We book your flight to Orlando (and pay for it, too).
Hoteliers, destinations and venue representatives from across the country will meet you there, ready to hear more about your meetings and book your business. We maximize your valuable time and tight budgets.
All events require something different—specific technology, special venues and a staff who know meetings—all on a budget. At Connect Marketplace, we'll eliminate the most difficult part of your planning process. You'll sit down in one-on-one, pre-scheduled appointments with suppliers who know what you need and have venues that meet your requirements.
CVBs and sports commissions, you’ll meet with qualified rights holders who can bring solid business to your city. The reverse trade show has a 1.5:1 supplier to planner ratio, as well as a 72 percent mutual request success rate. Your destination or venue will benefit from these powerful Marketplace appointments.
Learn from Experts

Planners need to keep their programming fresh and their attendees entertained. They need to sharpen their negotiation skills and hone in on risks and liabilities. Experience innovative education sessions targeted to the challenges faced most by rights holders while rubbing elbows with influential peers in the industry.
Suppliers, you'll learn a little something too. On the lineup, you'll find planner and supplier relations, social media marketing, personal branding and leadership development. Education sessions serve as additional sponsorship and networking opportunities, where you can get your name out there and book business.
Who doesn't like to laugh over lunch? General sessions break up the days of networking and education at Connect Marketplace. You'll hear stories, experiences and jokes told by entertainers and advocates. You'll have another networking opportunity at your fingertips—introduce yourself and exchange business cards around the table. Meet and greet opportunities are available, so start practicing that camera-ready smile.
Connect and Network
Networking opportunities are everywhere at Connect Marketplace. Whether you're in line waiting to fill your breakfast plater, getting a drink at a reception or exploring the city on the open night, the potential to make valuable industry connections is huge. Make a goal to head home with a stack of business cards and a lot to report back to your boss.
The second annual Connect Sports Marketplace will take place alongside the 2014 Connect Marketplace in Orlando. Both events are produced by Collinson Media & Events, a senior leader in the travel and tourism industry. For more information on the sports event, visit connectsports.com/marketplace.
Association and specialty organization planners participate in education at Marketplace to help them do their jobs better.
