Following on from the well received initial event earlier this year (further information on that can be found here) this seminar is intended to facilitate further discussion on what remains a key area for many universities.
Converged network and telephony has the potential to offer a number of business benefits leading to increased − productivity, collaboration and cost reduction. A converged voice and data network provides the building block for delivering an enriched user experience facilitating deployment of applications and features such as presence awareness, video conferencing, instant messaging and single number reach; but what are some of the challenges involved in transitioning and how are organisations meeting those challenges?
The programme will be widen further to include some of the 'hot topics' in the sector telephony arena and will include a panel question and answer session around those.
This event offers the opportunity to share our institutional experiences of the transition process and to hear from speakers regarding service delivery offerings such as SIP trunking and other hosted services.
The January event was very well attended so you may wish to consider registering early in order to guarantee a place that will enable you to learn more about the benefits and challenges and more at the UCISA Network and telephony convergence seminar on Wednesday 29 October 2014.
This event is aimed at management and staff responsible for providing network and telephony services.
