Want to find out about all the latest Android advances, listen to expert speakers, see fantastic new technologies, and meet the international Android community? Then come and join Droidcon London, the largest Android developer conference in Europe!

Our Droidcon London 2014 lineup is coming soon, including our signature community feature of Barcamp and old friends from last year like Chris Bridges, Al Sutton, and Cyanogen.

CyanogenMod: Origins and Future of the aftermarket Android OS

Smart-Phones in Space: A Guide

Dinosaurs and Android: The Listview Evolution

Teaching Your Client Android Design or Ridding The World of iPhoneys

Conquering Concurrency: Bringing the Reactive Extensions to the Android Platform

Barcamp & Democamp

So, what are they?

Barcamp and Democamp are our community-focused features that give the Android developer community the opportunity to decide the direction of the day!

Barcamp takes up most of the first day: developers have 5 minutes to propose their own talks or presentations on whatever they think is interesting and will interest others. Everyone else votes on which talks they’d most like to hear, and the presentations with the most votes get a room and a timeslot. Democracy at work!

Democamp is a session at the end of Day 1 to help your startup get funding by putting you in front of some of the best VC’s and journalists London has to offer. We give you two minutes and the stage to demo your startup and get feedback from our panel, and maybe some funding too! In previous years, over £110,000 has been raised in funding and grants to develop start up businesses showcased at Droidcon London’s democamp.

Hackathon & Workshops

Excited about Droidcon London? Then you don't want to miss our hackathon!

The Droidcon London hackathon and workshops weekend is your chance to put into practice everything you’ll have learned at the conference, and maybe form some lasting partnerships when you’re bringing your ideas to life! You’ll be joining forces with a host of other passionate Android developers to create something unique – or even win a prize! Last year, delegates won Epson’s Moverio glasses, smart watches, and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.

You get the whole weekend from Saturday morning to Sunday night – including pulling an all-nighter – to design an app, by yourself or in a team. We’ll supply all the pizza and red bull you need!

The hackathon weekend is included in the price of your Droidcon London registration, but you will have to sign up for it separately here.
