Cerebral Palsy Alliance and UTS invites you to Australia's first Enabled by Design-athon. Check out our action-packed program

JOIN US IN JULY

Cerebral Palsy Alliance in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney, and UK-based Enabled by Design and FutureGov, brings you Enabled by Design-athon, a two day ideas and prototyping-fest to transform the lives of people with a disability.

Following successful events in London (2012) and Washington DC (2013), Enabled by Design-athon Sydney brings together designers, technologists, engineers, UTS students, people with a disability and disability service professionals in a fun and action-packed two days. Hear from leading industry practitioners and then join a team to prototype a new product or technology that is more accessible, attractive and easier for everyone to use!

So, please join us on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July 2014 at the University of Technology Sydney - Building 6, Harris Street Ultimo.

We’re creating a movement for accessibility for the masses - to create mainstream products and technologies that work for as many people as possible, including those with disabilities and older people. The event will challenge people’s preconceptions of assistive equipment and technologies, showing how products can be personalized, purposeful and beautifully designed too.

Enabled by Design-athon Sydney is sponsored by the Department of Family and Community Services.

During the event, we’ll be using modern manufacturing software and tools including 3D printers, as well as rough and ready prototyping with card, foam, scissors, and anything else available!

If you are interested in universal design and love making amazing stuff then we want to hear from you!
