it is our pleasure to invite you all to the IV Italian Toastmasters Conference which will take place in Turin, Italy on the 7th and 8th of December 2013.
Our beautiful organisation appeared in Italy for the first time in 1993 and for long time there was only just one club in the whole country. In the past few years the tide has changed and now, 20 years later, Toastmasters in Italy has blossomed spreading its clubs spread from the North to the South of the country and the foundations of even more clubs are being laid right now.
Toastmasters Torino is proud to have started the tradition of the Italian Conferences in April 2012, just a few months after its foundation, when the club was not even chartered and count on a mere 10 members. Now a Chartered, Select Distinguished Club, numbering many members, Toastmasters Torino is honoured to host the IV edition of the Italian Conference. After the modest beginning it is high time we aim high. Growing stronger together is trend that could be witnessed both in Turin and in the whole Italy alike. And for this very reason we have set a challenge for ourselves: organise the largest Italian Conference ever and break the record of 100 attendees! And we all well know that in Toastmasters we achieve our goals together with our fellow members so I ask you all, my Toastmasters friends: are you willing to be part of this record-breaking, fantastic Italian Conference?
Low Cost, Loads of Fun! is a theme inspired by one the most famous statements of Dr. Ralph Smedley, founder of Toastmasters International: “We learn best in moments of enjoyment”.
...and how can you not experience Loads of fun when you are surrounded by 100 other Toastmasters?
In order to be 100 or more Toastmasters we want to make it affordable to everyone hence low cost, to encourage Italian and foreign Toastmasters to be there, learn a lot in moments of enjoyments altogether and have a memorable weekend under the Alps, in the city with Royal past, architectural treasures to be discovered and a cuisine that will linger your memory.
