Conference sessions focussing on Resource Efficiency, Resource Management, Resilience and Security and Liveable Cities reflect the relevance of all of the IET’s five sectors (Built Environment, Energy, Transport, Design & Production and Information & Communication) to Future Cities.

This broad subject will not be bound by particular industries or sectors, the benefits lie in a cross-sector approach with integration and interconnectivity maximising the rewards for all concerned.

Throughout the two-day conference a picture will be revealed of an evolving system of systems to achieve thriving, sustainable cities with an improved quality of life for the citizens who live there.

Who should attend and why?

Engineers working with smart technologies who want to see how their work fits in with future intelligent cities

System integrators ready for the challenges of convincing multiple stakeholders of the benefits

Product designers and innovators with an eye on the big picture

Local authority officers responsible for planning, sustainability, transport, energy efficiency and information

Utility engineers working with distributed generation and localised energy systems

Consultants and architects currently working in, or interested in working in this field

Anyone else who is simply interested in the concept of Future Intelligent Cities
