1. The Matrix of funding, fanbase building and feasible business models
Apart from creating brilliant game design and content, we all know that finding funds, building a fanbase and using the right business model are all very important elements in the core of a successful game. Actually what is really brilliant, is when we are able to make it all come together and create a symbiosis between these vital parts.
GamesBusiness 2013 Day 1 is all about making sense of the Matrix.
2. Breaking through the noise with strategic sales and marketing
Design and content can only be perceived as innovative and/or fulfill a need if it is discovered by others than the makers themselves. It is a task that sometimes can feel even more impossible than actually creating the game. Fortunately there is a breed of brilliant and helpful people out there who have boiled down their knowledge into effective sales and marketing tools.
GamesBusiness 2013 Day 2 is all about using the right tools to break through the noise.
Note: The conference is for companies in the gaming industry - if you are a student, please send an email to email@example.com to be written on a waiting list.
The conference aims to attract small and large companies, primarily from Denmark, with inspiring topics and presentations from leading Danish and International speakers. The gaming industry is moving very fast and therefore yesterday's small startup could be tomorrow's new star. It can be both in relation to content and / or the business model of that company. These changes can quickly have a major impact on the rest of the industry and therefore GamesBusiness focuses on spotting and promoting the upcoming trends.
The organizers are also aiming to strengthen the networking opportunities for the gaming industry, by creating an event that prioritise both the business side and social aspects through planning of the activities and content.
The game is on - hope you want to play!
