Oracle, Enrich and Spend Matters would like to invite you to an exclusive event focused on the effect of Social Media within Procurement and the key issues and opportunities this presents to CPOs, Heads of Procurement and other procurement leaders.

Large organisations have arguably been slow to pick up on the principles of social media and apply them to the business world. That's beginning to change now, and procurement, as a key outward-facing element of the organisation, should be in the forefront of that change. We expect to see major opportunities and some fundamental changes in the way we do business, as procurement and supply chain focused technology develops and picks up on those principles.

In this seminar, Peter Smith, Managing Editor of Spend Matters UK/Europe will be taking a look at how social media thinking is going to change how we work in procurement. It will dramatically change relationships with suppliers, and if we get it right, drive better and more beneficial collaboration and innovation both within and across organisations. But there are risks too for procurement – and as well as looking forward to the positives, Peter will explain how procurement is already losing what historically has been one of the function's basic reasons for existing.

After the business session, there will be a chance to network over drinks and canapés.
