The 18th International Conference of the ISTVS will be held at the Hoam Faculty House of Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in September 22-25, 2014.
The conference will provide you a place where you can exchange ideas and information on the current research and technology developments in the field of terrain-machine systems.
The International Society for Terrain-Vehicle Systems is an educational, non-profit, non-political organization with the mission to advance the knowledge in terrain-vehicle (machine) systems for improvements in engineering practice and for innovation, and to promote the transfer of advanced knowledge to the user for the benefit of society at large in environmental protection, energy conservation, and sustainable development. International conferences of ISTVS are organized every three years, with regional conferences in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America in between.
Seoul, the capital of Republic of Korea, is one of the largest cities in the world, risen from the ashes of the Korean war to become a modern metropolis with a population of 10.6 million, and a political, economic, and educational hub of the country with many elegant historical attractions. Seoul National University, founded in 1946, is the most prestigious university in Korea, comprising of 16 colleges and 8 professional graduate schools with 1,800 professors and 28,000 students. The conference venue is located at the outskirts of the campus, about 1.5 km away from its center.
