Language learning and language teaching carry us across all sorts of borders: national, cultural, disciplinary, psychological, and of course linguistic. JALT’s 40th annual conference will explore this phenomenon with its theme, “Conversations Across Borders.”
ust 45 minutes from Akihabara, Tokyo, by rapid train, and easily accessible from Ibaraki, Haneda, or Narita airports, JALT is thrilled to be holding JALT2014 in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki.
A short walk from Tsukuba station, the site, Tsukuba International Congress Center, is nestled in the heart of a science city hub. Tis well-equipped, purpose-built conference site will play host to our many presentations, plenary sessions, the Educational Materials Exhibition (EME), poster sessions, and SIG booths.On arrival, you will easily fnd the registration desk in the spacious atrium of the building.
Te site is dedicated to JALT2014 during the entire conference, allowing us access to all foors. With the EME display booths prominently placed on each foor, there are sure to be many communication hubs throughout the conference center.
