Senior Frontend Developer

Conferize connects the world of events with speakers, people and media from any industry. We help event organizers build communities, websites and mobile experiences to increase the quality and attendance of their events.

Conferize was founded by highly successful serial entrepreneurs and is backed by great investors. We’re based in Copenhagen, San Francisco and London. Our core development team is based around Europe working remotely. We accept applications within +/- 1 hour from our main time zone (CET) as our headquarter is in Copenhagen.

The ideal candidate is pragmatic yet detail oriented, has a refactoring mindset rather than a purely deadline driven one, has excellent English communication skills and proven experience working with JavaScript frameworks. We are currently using AngularJS but you’ll be responsible for helping transition to a new isomorphic frontend experience based upon React and Redux with a Rails backend.

Required Skills

  • At least 3 years of Javascript professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of AngularJS, React or similar experience.
  • Proficient understanding of CSS.
  • You care about writing semantic well formed code and paying attention to standards and good practices.
  • Proficient understanding of Git.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL.

We Are Remote

Remote workers are under the following requirements:

  • We do Google Hangouts and value quality communication, you must have high speed Internet and a quality video camera (720p+) and a good microphone.
  • You must be able to travel to Copenhagen, Denmark (at our expense) up to twice a year for 2-3 days each visit for a team building get-together.
  • You must be online throughout your work day, especially during core business hours 10 am to 3 pm CET, using Slack for communication with the distributed team.

We’re super ambitious, have a zero-bug policy and are very nice to be around :-) We will give you everything you need to do your absolute best and most interesting work ever. We offer a competitive salary and a stake in the company to the right candidate.
