The general aim of the Conference is to contribute to the development, promotion and improvement of teaching mathematics in primary school, as well as to the development of teacher competencies necessary for modern primary education.

Suggested Thematic Areas
The Conference will be held in the form of plenary and thematic sessions:

МАТМ 1: New developments, trends and researches in mathematics education
МАТМ 2: Multidisciplinary approach in methodology and teaching mathematics
МАТМ 3: Information technologies in teaching and learning mathematics
МАТМ 4: History of mathematics and mathematics education
МАТМ 5: Pedagogical and psychological aspects of teaching mathematics

Individual talks in sessions will be allocated 20 minutes.

Conference procedure

Speakers are invited to send proposals (application form attached) in English by:

а) regular mail to the following address: Fakultet pedagoskih nauka u Jagodini, Milana Mijalkovica 14, 35000 Jagodina, Serbia (labelled „for Conference MATM2014”), or

b) email to the address mathserbia@gmail.com as a Word attachment.
Official languages of the Conference are Serbian and English.

Conference timeline

Application deadline is March 30th, 2014.
Full papers deadline is September 15th, 2014.

Conference fee

Conference fee is € 50.00 in Serbian currency (RSD) on the day of payment. Conference fee covers the costs of all materials and publishing conference proceedings titled „Methodological Aspects of Teaching Mathematics“. Travel costs and accommodation are not included.
