The Medieval English Studies Symposium ever since its very beginning has served as a meeting point bringing together specialist in the areas of medieval research. The Symposium encourages all diachronic oriented initiatives and serves as a forum for discussion to all interested in the history of the English language. The conference is organised by the School of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan.
The School of English is pleased to announce the 11th Medieval English Studies Symposium to be held 17-18th November 2012 at Adam Mickiewicz University. This year we hope to attract researchers investigating the linguistic intricacies in the medieval period of the history of the English language. The MESS11 organizers wish to especially encourage contributions centred around the theme of standardisation, however, papers devoted to other diachronic topics are also most welcome.
