What is a Barcamp?

(This text is borrowed from the BarCamp Berlin, BarCampCologne, BarcampNürnberg and BarCampFrankfurt)

A BarCamp is an ad-hoc non-conference (English Un-Conference), which has arisen out of a need that people exchange in an open environment and can learn from each other. It is an intense event with discussions, presentations, and interaction among the participants.

Anyone who has something to contribute or want to learn something is welcome and invited to participate.

In the event that you join, stand one on sharing yourself with others Barcampern.

If you go, be prepared to share your experiences with the rest of the world.

No spectators, only participants

Participants must hold either a presentation or a session, or help with one, or otherwise contribute as a volunteer to the success of the event. The schedule of all presentations will be created only on the day itself. You can prepare in advance, but should appear early in the day to secure a place in the schedule. Select the participants present from the demos or presentations they want to see.

All presenters are responsible for ensuring that all notes, slides, audio and video of their presentations published on the web for the benefit of both the participants and those who can not be physically present.
