The Mozambique Coal Conference is the very first event to focus on the coal industry in the Mozambican region and has had the support from the Mozambique Government since the inaugural event in 2010
With 300+ attendees each year, this event sees geographical delegate representation as diversed as Australia, South Africa, India, Bostwana, Canada, United-Kingdom, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates USA, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and of course Mozambique.
We have had the pleasure to welcome Mozambique's Minister for Mining and Resources Dra. Esperanza Bias, at the event each year. In her ministerial address, Minister Bias has provided the participants with the government perspective on creating fiscal and regulatory regime conducive to attracting investment in the sector and sustaining a competitive position for the industry in the long term With transport infrastructure one of the major issues for the Mozambique Coal mines, many industry stakeholders are left wondering when infrastructure will be able to meet industry demand.
To answer the industry's pressing questions, the annual Mozambique Coal conference focuses on the current and new projects and the infrastructure-related challenges, including key aspects of transport logistics, rail, roads and ports.
The main projects are reviewed to give investors, service providers and coal buyers the opportunity to understand what the mines have to offer and where they are at.
Each year, we secure project presentations by some of Mozambique's leading mines. It is a great and unique opportunity to hear first-hand information from these mines' senior executives.
