NAPEC Innovation Conference was held on April 22, 2013 at the Hilton New York. Over 500 attendees from all over the world converged and provided leaders in innovation a platform to share ideas through keynote speeches, panels, and presentations.
Among the accomplished professionals in innovation were six finalist student teams who competed at the NAPEC Innovation Challenge and had the opportunity to showcase their ideas and businesses to judges and investors. The finalists competed for over $20,000 in cash & prizes. Each of the six finalists, who ranked top out of over 100 applications from over thirty universities, gave their pitches in front of a panel of renowned judges during the morning program of the NAPEC Innovation Conference.
The afternoon program included a panel of CEO’s and presidents of seven international stock exchanges. The main topic of discussion revolved around the conference’s theme, “Innovation in Financial Markets“, as well as engaging presentations by the best speakers of innovation in a plethora of industries.
The conference concluded with an evening gala and two keynote speeches by Kevin McGovern and Ahmet Calik. Mr. McGovern is founder of SoBe Drinks and Chairman of McGovern Capital, and Ahmet Calik, chairman of Calik Holdings.
This year NAPEC Innovation will hold two conferences in April. The first of which will be held in New York, with the focus related to small and medium enterprises (SME’s). The second conference will be held in Chicago, which will address globalization and innovation.
Chicago, one of the world’s largest financial hubs is the newest edition to the NAPEC innovation conference series. It has the largest futures exchange in the world, is home to an exhaustive list of prestigious companies, and remains one of the most accessible metropolitan areas in the United States. The NAPEC Innovation Chicago Conference is predicted to host over four hundred attendees from all over the world, with a large presence from regionally based businesses.
