NEW MEDIA DAYS IS CANCELED. Conference New Media Days which was to be held on 12th-13th September this year, has been canceled. We must recognize the immense difficulty with submissions this year. This is probably due to both the financial crisis, not least the forthcoming general election, which comes across in relation to settlement of the conference.Much of our audience will be unable to attend because of the upcoming election coverage. The conference will for that reason lack the necessary support, says director of DR Law, Policy and Strategy Jonas Svava Iversen, who is steering committee for the New Media Days. The conference should have been 12th - 13 September in the Locomotive Workshop. It is DR, the Danish Newspaper Publishers' Association (DDF), media (Danish Media Forum) and the Association of Danish Internet Media (FDIM), who soon a number of years has been behind the event.Jonas Svava Iversen explains that the people behind New Media Days will spend the coming months to evaluate and consider how best to help challenge and develop the media industry in the future. It is still relevant and necessary that the media industry come together and evolve across the traditional boundaries. We will use the steering group for the next month to assess how we can best continue to work towards the common goal. Contact Jonas Svava Iversen, Vice DR Law, Policy and Strategy, Tel: 28 54 80 17
