The Nordic region is emerging as one of the world’s leading geographies for entrepreneurship and innovation. We have a high level of start-up activity, but young firms seem to lack the resources and skills to grow into large, successful enterprises realizing their global potential.
So how do we create a world class Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurs that will spur growth and spawn a new generation of Nordic game changing companies within the next 5 years?
This will be the central question asked at Nordic Entrepreneurship Arena in Dansehallerne Copenhagen, 16 September.
The Arena is a hands-on, practical working session, where we roll up our sleeves and figure out how we go about increasing the number of successful Nordic companies, as well as boosting awareness and visibility of the Nordic start-up scene.
This is not your classical conference, but a problem-solving session where we work to answer these questions in teams of peers from the Nordic Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, whilst networking in a structured manner.
Professionally facilitated, we will make sure to get concrete answers and activities out of the selected invited to attend, to ensure a hard-hitting and effective Nordic programme, building a premier league of entrepreneurs with substantial revenues and jobs. Key Arena topics are:
-Venture capital and foreign investment
-Growth competences and growth in head count
-Time to market
-New technologies and Nordic niches
User-driven from the very beginning
Following the Arena, a Steering group of the region's most skilled and experienced serial entrepreneurs will take the Arena suggestions and shape the strategic direction of the Nordic Ligthouse project Nordic Partnership of Enterpreneurship and Financing 2014-2017- making it the first of its kind to be user-driven from the very beginning. Members of the Steering group are:

(IS) Jon S. von Tetzchner, Owner, Vivaldi Inc.
