Ready to Inspire is a well crafted conference about web design, type and code. It has workshops, live music, meetups and parties, but above all a pretty inspiring lineup of today's craftspeople and mind blowing new faces.
We are Ready to Inspire
This year's conference will be about "Making it Pretty". As you probably know from first hand experience it is not that hard to design or make a website. At least we're all more or less experienced makers, right? But, making a useful and successful app, website or even a service is pretty hard to do. Growing from a one man shop to a bigger club of experts, so you can work for bigger clients or projects, is also pretty difficult.
This year I decided that the theme of this year would be "Making it Pretty" and I have selected a fine group of speakers that have their share of experience in making their work pretty. They are ready to share with you their stories and practical tips about making your work and your job a pretty awesome one.
This year we have the best content presented by people like Jon Tan, Cap Watkins (Etsy), Dan Rubin, Ben Callahan, Johanna Kollmann, Vasilis van Gemert (one of last year New Faces). Also - and this is fabulous news, we have Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers from The Heads of State (www.theheadsofstate.com) presenting a pretty special keynote for you. Another 4 speakers will be announced in the upcoming weeks. And as always we save the best announcements for last.
But wait... there is more
We have a fine selection of workshops ready for you. Ben Callahan will present a full day class about responsive web design, titled "Build Responsively", a must attent workshop for every (future) front end magician. Dan Rubin is preparing a half day UX class, combined with an afternoon of photography. A combination that both will be useful and highly entertaining. Jon Tan will bring you a practical day about all the pretty amazing things you can do with type. And last, but not least.. tadaaaa.. we have an absolutely great BBQ Bootcamp. Perfectly timed at the start of (hopefully) a great summer you can learn all about Low&Slow BBQ-ing, smoking, rubbing, basting and marinate delicious steaks. Master those Boston Butts, Baby back Ribs and chicken. If you like meat and outdoor cooking you definitely want to "meat the experts".
We want more, we want more
Okay, we give you more! All conference days are catered. That means coffee and tea, delicious pastries, afternoon snacks and a wonderful lunch are included in your ticket. There is an openings drink on Tuesday and a closing party on Thursday. Did we mention that we love a bit of space between talks, so you can enjoy great conversations over coffee? Well, we do!
