Sjón is a writer and President of PEN International in Iceland. He has written novels and poems where different cultures are gathered in a conversation with Icelandic cultural heritage. In the PEN-association Sjón has fought for the freedom of speech, regardless of language and residency. Sjón er rithöfundur og forseti PEN á Íslandi. Hann hefur skrifað fjölda skáldsagna og ljóða þar sem ólíkum menningarheimum er stefnt til samtals við íslenskan bókmenntaarf. Á vettvangi PEN-samtakanna hefur Sjón látið sig varða tjáningarfrelsið, þar með talinn réttinn til tjáningar óháð tungumáli og búsetu.

Vigdís Finnbogadóttir was the President of Iceland from 1980 to 1996, and has been a Goodwill Ambassador for Languages at UNESCO since 1998. In her work, she has highlighted the importance of language skills, in the native language as well as foreign ones, throughout her career. She has worked diligently to raise the profile of languages, research and culture both at home and abroad and been tireless in highlighting the importance of languages and their acquisition for positive relations between people and for the opportunities and success of companies and individuals in a globalised environment. She has also stressed the importance of languages and multiculturalism for the culture heritage of mankind.Vigdís Finnbogadóttir var forseti Íslands frá 1980 til 1996, og velgjörðarsendiherra tungumála hjá UNESCO frá árinu 1998. Vigdís hefur alla tíð lagt ríka áherslu á mikilvægi tungumálakunnáttu, jafnt erlendra mála sem móðurmálsins. Hún hefur unnið ötullega að því að styrkja tungumál, rannsóknir og menningu bæði heima fyrir og á alþjóðavettvangi og verið óþreytandi að benda á mikilvægi tungumála og tungumálakunnáttu fyrir jákvæð samskipti þjóða og fyrir árangur og tækifæri fyrirtækja og einstaklinga í alþjóðavæddum heimi. Þá hefur hún lagt áherslu á mikilvægi tungumála og fjölmenningar fyrir menningararfleið mannkyns.

Sebastian Drude is the director of the Vigdís International Centre for Multilingualism and Intercultural Understanding, a UNESCO Centre at the University of Iceland. The mission of the Centre is to promote the beauty of languages, the importance of language learning and bridging between cultures. The Centre is concerned with all languages in the world and linguistic diversity in general.Sebastian Drude er forstöðumaður Vigdísarstofnunar – alþjóðlegrar miðstöðvar tungumála og menningar, sem er rekin undir merkjum UNESCO við Háskóla Íslands. Markmið miðstöðvarinnar er að kynna fegurð tungumála, mikilvægi tungumálanáms og tenginga milli menningarheima. Miðstöðin lætur sig öll tungumál heimsins varða og fjölbreytni tungumála almennt.

Helga Arnalds is a visual artist and a theatre maker focusing on visual performances improvising with material. Educated in the Icelandic Academy of the Arts and el Instituto del Teatro in Barcelona, she is the founder and artistic director of the 10 Fingers - www.tiufingur.isShe has facilitated performance projects with the The Women's Story Circle. She is now living in Aarhus Denmark and a member of the JuSTART danstheatre company.Helga Arnalds starfar bæði innan sviðslista og myndlistar. Hún er menntuð frá Instituto del Teatro í Barcelona og myndlistadeild Listaháskóla Íslands.Helga er stofnandi og listrænn stjórnandi 10 Fingra www.tiufingur.is og hefur leitt leiklistarverkefni Söguhrings kvenna.Hún er nú búsett í Árósum í Danmörku þar sem hún er meðlimur í dansleikhópnum JuSTART.

Kristin R. Vilhjálmsdóttir is the intercultural project manager at The Reykjavik City Library and creator of several interdisciplinary cooperation projects across linguistic and cultural boundaries. She led the work towards a new intercultural policy and an action plan for the department of Culture and Tourism at the end of 2017. Kristín is bilingual, with Danish and Icelandic as her mother languages. She worked as a language teacher in Denmark for a great number of years before returning to Iceland in 2008 after having been an "immigrant" for 30 years.Kristín R. Vilhjálmsdóttir er verkefnastjóri fjölmenningar á Borgarbókasafninu og hugmyndasmiður fjölda samstarfsverkefna þvert á landamæri tungumála og menningar. Hún stýrði vinnu við mótun fjölmenningarstefnu og aðgerðaráætlunar menningar- og ferðamálasviðs sem samþykkt var í lok árs 2017. Kristín er tvítyngd, með dönsku og íslensku að móðurmáli. Hún starfaði sem tungumálakennari í Danmörku í mörg ár áður en hún sneri aftur til Íslands árið 2008 eftir 30 ár sem „innflytjandi“.

Eliza Reid is Iceland's First Lady. She moved to Iceland from Canada in 2003 and has since then been active in promoting communication across borders. She is the co-founder of the acclaimed Iceland Writers Retreat through which she has built bridges between Icelandic and foreign writers and artists.She is the patron of several organizations in Iceland, including the United Nations Association Iceland and is also a Goodwill Ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages Iceland. Forsetafrú Íslands, Eliza Reid, flutti til landsins frá Kanada árið 2003 og hefur síðan verið ötull talsmaður samskipta þvert á landamæri. Hún er annar af stofnendum Iceland Writers Retreat og hefur þannig byggt brýr milli íslenskra og erlendra rithöfunda og listamanna. Eliza er verndari ýmissa samtaka á Íslandi, svo sem Félags Sameinuðu þjóðanna, og hún er velgjörðarsendiherra SOS barnaþorpa á Íslandi.

Hanna Ragnarsdóttir is a professor at the School of Education, University of Iceland. Her research has mainly focused on immigrants (children, adults, and families) in Icelandic society and schools, multicultural education, and school reform.Hanna Ragnarsdóttir er prófessor við uppeldis- og menntunarfræðideild Menntavísindasviðs Háskóla Íslands. Rannsóknir hennar hafa einkum beinst að börnum og fullorðnum af erlendum uppruna í íslensku samfélagi og skólum og ýmsum þáttum fjölmenningarlegs skólastarfs.

Renata Emilsson Peskova is the chairman of Móðurmál - the Association on Bilingualism and PhD candidate at the School of Education at the University of Iceland. Her research interest lies with plurilingual children and heritage language education.Renata Emilsson Peskova er formaður Móðurmáls - samtaka um tvítyngi og doktorsnemi við Menntavísindasvið Háskóla Íslands. Í rannsóknum sínum leggur hún meðal annars áherslu á tungumálaforða og móðurmálskennslu fjöltyngdra barna.

Angelique Kelley is the chairman of W.O.M.E.N in Iceland, an association geared towards foreign women living in Iceland. The goal of W.O.M.E.N is to unite, express and address the interests and issues of women of foreign origin living in Iceland in order to bring about equality for them as women and as foreigners in all areas of society.Angelique Kelley er formaður Samtaka kvenna af erlendum uppruna (W.O.M.E.N.) á Íslandi. Hlutverk samtakanna er að sameina, takast á við og ljá hagsmuna- og áhugamálum kvenna sem sest hafa að á Íslandi rödd. Markmið samtakanna er að vinna að jafnrétti og jafnri stöðu kvenna af erlendum uppruna á öllum sviðum þjóðlífsins.

Fríða B. Jónsdóttir is the intercultural project manager at the Department of School and Leisure of Reykjavík City. Fríða has an M.Ed. degree in multicultural studies and is currently working on a doctorate research on multilingual children in preschools. Her main field of interest is supporting linguistic and cultural diversity within Early Education where active participation, sense of belonging and identity is enhanced among children and families. Fríða B. Jónsdóttir er verkefnastjóri fjölmenningar hjá skóla- og frístundasviði Reykjavíkur. Fríða er með M.Ed. gráðu í fjölmenningarfræðum og vinnur að doktorsrannsókn um leikskólastarf með fjöltyngdum börnum. Áhugasvið hennar beinist að þróun vinnubragða sem styðja við menningu og tungumál fjöltyngdra leikskólabarna þar sem áhersla er lögð á virka þátttöku, þróun sjálfsmyndar og samstarf við  fjölskyldur með fjölbreyttan bakgrunn.

Sigrún Erla Egilsdóttir is a project manager for refugee projects at the Reykjavík Red Cross. She manages the project "Refugee Guides" where the main goal is to work towards mutual integration in Icelandic society.Sigrún Erla Egilsdóttir er verkefnisstjóri í málefnum flóttafólks hjá Rauða krossinum í Reykjavík. Sigrún stýrir verkefninu "Leiðsögumenn flóttafólks" þar sem markmiðið er að vinna að gagnkvæmri aðlögun í íslensku samfélagi.

Simon Strömberg is a program manager for the strategic fund Kreativa platser/Creative Places at the Swedish Arts Council. The Creative Places program is part of the Swedish government's commitment to art and culture in the areas with socio-economic challenges. Simon has previously worked as development manager at the Culture Administration of Stockholm and Stockholm School of the Arts, focusing on young people's participation. He was also the founder of the media and democracy center Unga Berättar/Speaking Youth - based on youth narratives.Simon Strömberg er verkefnastjóri fyrir stefnumótunarsjóðinn Kreativa platser/Creative Places hjá sænska listaráðinu. Verkefnið Creative Places er hluti af stuðningi sænsku ríkisstjórnarinnar við listir og menningu á svæðum sem takast á við félagslegar og efnahagslegar áskoranir. Áður vann Simon sem þróunarstjóri hjá menningarráði Stokkhólms og Kulturskolan í Stokkhólmi, með áherslu á þátttöku ungs fólks. Hann var einnig stofnandi miðlunar- og lýðræðismiðstöðvarinnar Unga Berättar/Speaking Youth – sem byggir á frásögnum ungmenna.

Egill Sæbjörnsson is a visual artist from Iceland who’s works can be described as technological continuation of painting, mixing video, programming, performance and music. He also works with socially integrating and participatory art. Snæbjörnsson represented Iceland at the Venice Biennale in 2017.Egill Sæbjörnsson er myndlistarmaður en hann vinnur með myndbandstækni, tölvuforritun, performans og tónlist svo úr verður eins konar tæknileg framlenging á málverki.  Einnig spilar samfélagsþáttaka hlutverk í verkum hans. Egill kom fram fyrir Íslands hönd á Feneyjartvíæringnum í Feneyjum 2017.

Ingrid Valan is a co-curator and art educator at the cultural company Pikene på Broen based in Kirkenes in Norway. She has an MA in Art History with contemporary art as her specialized field. Ingrid has worked as a guide and art educator at the Astrup Fearnley Museum, the Vigeland Museum and Høstutstillingen in Oslo. She has written and published text about contemporary art and worked as an art advisor on the pop-up exhibitions of the Oslo based art dealer and consultant company, ArtWalk.

Mazen Maarouf is a Palestinian-Icelandic writer. He came to Iceland in 2011 via ICORN (International Cities of Refuge Network) and received an Icelandic citizenship in 2013. His short story collection Jokes and Gunmen will be published in Icelandic translation this year by Forlagið publishing house.Mazen Maarouf er palestínsk-íslenskur rithöfundur. Hann kom til Íslands árið 2011 vegum ICORN (International Cities of Refuge Network) og hlaut íslenskan ríkisborgararétt árið 2013. Smásagnasafn hans, Jokes for the Gunmen, er væntanlegt í íslenskri þýðingu hjá Forlaginu á þessu ári.

Lilianne van Vorstenbosch is an art teacher based in Reykjavik. Inspired by aboriginal dot paintings, she has led several projects for The Women's Story Circle encouraging women to express themselves in community art. The painting projects created a space for women from all over the globe to meet and connect at the Reykjavik City Library. Lilianne van Vorstenbosch er myndlistarkennari búsett í Reykjavík. Hún hefur leitt verkefni Söguhrings kvenna sem eru innblásin af punktalistaverkum frumbyggja Ástralíu og með þeim hvatt konur til að tjá sig í gegnum listina. Verkin hafa skapað rými fyrir konur frá öllum heimshornum til að hittast og tengjast á Borgarbókasafninu.

Ós Pressan is a collective of marginalized writers in Reykjavík, founded in 2015. One of it’s goals is to provide new voices in, on, around and near Iceland with the opportunity to be heard within the Icelandic literature. That has been done by hosting workshops, open writing evenings and events and by the publication of a literary journal, Ós – The Journal, in 2016 and 2017.Ós Pressan eru félagasamtök jaðarrithöfunda í Reykjavík sem voru stofnuð árið 2015. Eitt af markmiðum þeirra er að veita nýjum röddum á, í, um og við Ísland tækifæri til þess að heyrast innan íslenskra bókmennta. Það hefur meðal annars verið gert með ritsmiðjum, opnum ritkvöldum, viðburðum og útgáfu bókmenntatímaritsins, Ós - The Journal, árið 2016 og 2017..

Arna Schram is the head of Reykjavík Department of Culture and Tourism. The department is responsible for tourism and  cultural affairs and the operation of Reykjavik's cultural institutions which include Reykjavik City Library, Reykjavik City Museum and Reykjavik Art Museum. At the end of 2017 the first initiative towards a new intercultural policy for the department was taken by creating a new action plan concerning access to and participation in the cultural life of the capital. The action plan will be implemented in the new cultural policy for Reykjavík 2020.Arna Schram er sviðsstjóri Menningar- og ferðamálasviðs Reykjavíkjurborgar. Sviðið ber ábyrgð á ferðamálum og menningarmálum og þar með rekstri menningarstofnana Reykjavíkurborgar sem eru Borgarbókasafnið, Borgarsögusafn og Listasafn Reykjavíkur. Í lok 2017 var fyrsta skrefið tekið í átt að nýrri fjölmenningarstefnu sviðsins með því að móta aðgerðaráætlun til stuðla að aðkomu og virkri þátttöku allra í menningarlífi borgarinnar. Aðgerðaráætlunin verður hluti af nýrri menningarstefnu borgarinnar fyrir árið 2020.

Asbjørn Keiding is the manager of the Association of Danish Ensembles, Orchestras and Operas, and the employers organization LandsdelsOrkesterForeningen. Two organizations taking care of the interests of state-supported music in Denmark. The organizations both work with industry information in general and have close contact with the cultural policy environments around their members. He has been member of the Danish Minister of Culture’s commission for Music Schools and also the organizational leader of the Association Orkester Norden.
