The SS12:EU is an exciting coding competition for small teams of European University students who develop accessibility and assitive technonolgy (AT) software in a bid to win at the prestigious finals.
The finals for SS12:EU 2014 are being held as part of the ICCHP 2014 conference, allowing the fimalist teams to immerse themselves in the best and latest accessibility and AT knowledge. The competing teams initially develop their prototypes during the 2013-2014 academic year with the best 2 being selected to attend the finals at ICCHP.
Students may work on projects proposed by themselves, their university facilitators or drawn from a pool of ideas managed by the SS12:EU organisers. Students will be provided opportunities to connect with end users, eAccessibility experts, industry leaders and others when developing their software. Campuses and faculty are strongly encouraged to include the activities in the standard curricula of the students and accredit their work.
