The historic warehouses at Islands Brygge in Copenhagen used to be the head quarter for the Organization of Danish Supermarkets. The location close to the Copenhagen Harbor made the area perfect for storage and distribution.
Within the last years, the area has changed character and today the old warehouses are home for young tech startups, who benefit from the knowledge and experience they have respectively and from the mutual knowledge sharing the proximity of the companies allows.
From this summer, the area around Njalsgade 17-23 will go under the name Startup Village, which will have the biggest concentration of young entrepreneurs in Copenhagen. September 12 is the official Launch date, initiated and hosted by the co-working space, Founders House.
