Psychology is the scientific study of people, the mind and behaviour. The British Psychological Society is the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK.
The Society's Annual Conference attracts academics, researchers and practitioners from around the world. As well as top keynote speakers, presentations on recent research, this event includes the Society's Award Ceremony and a competition for the best poster presentation.
The 2014 Annual Conference will take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Birmingham on 7-9 May.
Our keynote speakers for 2014 include:
Professor Sir Simon Wessely, Ben Shephard, Susan van Scoyoc, Professor John Aggleton and Professor Marinus van Ijzendoorn.
Submissions are currently open and we welcome submissions in the format of oral presentations, workshops symposia and poster presentations. We have chosen broad-ranging themes, which also cover the interest areas of our keynote speakers. The themes are:
The psychology of family, parenting and caring
The psychologist as expert
New directions in human neuroscience
Visit the submissions page on the event website to view the deadline dates.
The exhibition will give you access to over 500 delegates with plenty of opportunities to market your company's expertise. All refreshment breaks and lunches throughout the conference will be served in the exhibition area, allowing maximum exposure to delegates.
