Technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, playing a crucial role in how we socialise with friends and how we conduct business with our clients. The events industry is no different, developing new an innovative ways to deliver festivals, conferences, shows, concerts, experiential events, corporate hospitality and brand activation.
As well as the huge application of social media within our industry, the Event Technology Awards are not just looking for the best Twitter campaign or Facebook drive. We also want to showcase the very best technology that customers may be completely unaware of, like the innovations in ticket purchasing, the technology that helps trade shows monitor and analyse their visitors or the new generators that make an event greener and thus more sustainable.
When we stop and take a long look at anything we would call an event, we are surrounded by products and services that have used modern technology as a means to further develop their function. The Event Technology Awards was created to recognise these developments.
We are no longer entering an age in which technology will dominate our lives – the truth is we’re already in it. So as an industry, let’s acknowledge how important it has become.
