The Future of StoryTelling is an invitation-only, two-day gathering of technology, media, and communications visionaries from around the world. The summit is designed to put participants in direct contact with the most vital ideas, people, and technologies that are shaping the way we tell stories.
On day one, the Future of StoryTelling summit begins with a private ferry ride from lower Manhattan to scenic Snug Harbor Cultural Center. We convert the 83-acre campus into a storytelling playground featuring intimate, speaker-led roundtable sessions, master classes from expert practitioners, the interactive Story Arcade exhibit, and hands-on workshops. FoST 2014 also marks the inaugural FoST Prize and the second annual Fellowship program.
On day two, attendees participate in the Story Crawl, a tour of some of Manhattan and Brooklyn’s most creative storytelling studios. Attendees travel to three companies for an intimate look into their concept development, creative process, and experimental approaches to storytelling. The day culminates in an official closing session and party for all 500 attendees. Participating studios include:
