Operating in an increasingly competitive, complex and global business environment, the pursuit of world-class research performance has become a pressing challenge for Higher Education institutions in Australia. To distinguish Australian research universities against the competition and thrive in this dynamic environment it is crucial for research leaders to drive innovation and quality whilst also reaching out and seizing opportunities for collaboration across borders and institutional boundaries. The case-study driven format will highlight experiences and key lessons learned from some of the most accomplished research institutions in Australia. The forum and workshop will equip delegates with fresh perspectives and insights to enhance research quality and performance in the pursuit of becoming a world-class research institution.
