A comprehensive introduction to how the Australian and in particular, WA gas industries are structured, regulated, priced, traded and commercialised
The course begins with an overview of industry structure and the important links with other industries, such as oil, followed by a short review of upstream activities including how gas is formed and how it is found and produced.
A study of the gas transportation network will outline the movement of gas flows around the country, infrastructure capacities and constraints, how gas is delivered to customers, and aspects of gas utilisation. The course will then consider the development of the Western Australian gas market, from initial discoveries and production to the present.
