Getting in touch with our animal instincts can teach us a lot about how we respond to the world around us and help improve our performance and relationships. From the over-efficient car alarm of our reptilian brain to the endless chatter of our inner chimp, we can decode some of these signals that took us to the top of the animal kingdom.
We'll be hosted by psychologist and author, Jacqui Marson, who will take you on a journey from the savannah to the corporate jungle and give you some 'grrrreat' tips!
We’ll also be joined by an expert from the zoo, who will explore the reasons why we consider certain animals “intelligent” or “not intelligent”, and the theories surrounding how animals learn. You’ll discover how ZSL uses the science of learning behaviours to benefit animal welfare at the zoo - including the opportunity to observe a live animal training session, and to try out animal training techniques on each other!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Women 1st networking event without excellent refreshments, courtesy of Ampersand, while you meet old friends and make new connections in the wonderful surroundings of ZSL London Zoo.
